How EvoSort works

Data capture

Every parcel that passes through the conveyor belt is fully captured by our system. Cameras read the shipping label, measure the parcel size and shape, and detect whether it is a box, a padded envelope, or a shipping bag. All data is transmitted in real time to the central processing unit while the parcel continues moving through the system.

Intelligent sorting

Using the collected information, the software decides where each parcel belongs. It considers not only the label but also parcel size, weight, and your current business rules - depending on the checkpoint, different rules can apply. Do you want all DHL parcels on lane 3? Should oversized shipments be sorted out automatically? The software executes your requirements precisely. Problem parcels (unreadable label, oversized) are routed automatically to separate lanes.

Real-time control

The software controls the sortation system and routes each parcel to the correct destination lane. The special thing: you can change the assignment at any time - and differently for different areas of the system. Is lane 2 full? One click, and all Hermes parcels go to lane 5 from that point on. New carriers added? Simply assign them a lane. Everything keeps running without stopping the system.

Live monitoring

Through the web-based dashboard, you can see the current status in real time: how many parcels are being sorted right now, which lanes are reaching capacity limits, and where thresholds are being exceeded. The system shows you immediately when action is required anywhere.

EvoSort is implemented in the way your technical environment requires, not the other way around. The software runs containerized with Docker on x86 or ARM systems regardless of the host operating system. The frontend is web-based, so no special client is required. The main requirement is a stable TCP/IP connection to the connected systems. Where needed, we support you in developing the required infrastructure. The goal remains a system that fits into your environment.
